Mary update

We finally got the nod that Mary could return to the flock this past weekend, and here she is doing just that - check out the sprint when she recognises her field buddy .

You may remember Mary had a sting or scratch on her eye and was having treatment care in the barn whilst it healed, including a daily eye ointment and some stitches. She took both like a champion .

She had to live inside for a while to allow her eye to do its healing, and avoid aggravating the site or getting any scratches or knocks to the stitches as this would have put her backwards. As a result she has received numerous snacks, and we now know she loves mango .

She also returns to the barn every 3 hours or so, when her tummy tells her it is time for a snack

Her eyeball is still a little cloudy but definitely healing, and we believe she has some vision in it isn’t perfect yet but she’s getting there
